Standing Twists Will Give Your Waistline a Sleeker Look!

Got love handles? If so, standing twists are one of the best moves you can do to help get rid of them.

This exercise effectively tones your obliques (the muscles located at the sides of your waist), giving your waistline a slimmer appearance.

Standing twists also help to stretch the spine and ab muscles.

Keep in mind, though, that those newly-toned muscles at your waist won't be visible if you have extra-fat on this area of the body.

If this is the case, you'll need to lose some of it before you will actually see the difference in your waistline.

Capiche? Gooooood. Now, let's get twisting!

Step One:

Stand with legs open about shoulder-width apart. Bend your knees slightly and keep your hips facing forward.

Your arms should be bent with your elbows facing outward. Now gently twist your trunk and arms to the right.

See figure 1

Your left elbow should point forward as your right arm opens, shifting right and back.

Step Two:

Now twist to the left. Be sure to gently twist the trunk and the arms simultaneously.

See figure 2.

Remember to keep your knees bent throughout the movement. This will help to prevent undue strain upon the lower back.

Perform 100 twists, which will give you 50 reps on each side.

To Your Health!
