A Yogurt Smoothie Recipe for Berry Lovers!
Blueberry Yogurt Smoothie Recipe
You'll love this delicious fruit smoothie!
It is rich in antioxidants, which help protect us from aging free radicals.
Blueberries provide about 25% of the recommended daily allowances of vitamin C and the mineral manganese.
These sweet berries are also abundant in vitamin K, which is essential for proper clotting of the blood. Vitamin K is also necessary for bone health.
Yogurt Smoothie Recipe Ingredients
2 cups low-fat plain yogurt
1 1/2 cups ripe blueberries
1 tbsp. ground flax seeds
1 tsp. raw honey
1 1/2 cups ice
This smoothie recipe makes 2 servings
If you're using a Vita-Mix, our favorite smoothie maker, just toss in the flax seeds. This machine is powerful enough to grind them.
If you're using a regular blender, though, you'll definitely need to grind the flax seeds in a coffee grinder first.
Combine yogurt, blueberries, flax seeds, honey and ice in your blending machine. Cover and mix until smooth.
Pour into 2 glasses. Garnish each with a ripe blueberry.
Enjoy!
